The corrosion resistance and life cycle of stainless steel welds are dependent on careful and professional treatment of the weld seam.
WS 3610 Gel is a red pickling gel that removes blackening of the weld bead and arc heat affected areas,
as well as oxide stains on stainless steels and their alloys.


PROPERTIES

• Easy application and fast stripping with excellent results.

• Its red colour facilitates the operator’s work visually, during application and removal, and also avoids possible accidents at work.

• Excellent adhesion to the base material due to its high thixotropy, even on vertical surfaces and indoors.

• It does not contain hydrochloric acid so there is no risk of corrosion.

• There is no risk of staining of the material to which it is applied, either due to prolonged exposure to acid or due to the colouring agent in the product.

• Leaves a uniform surface finish with a glossy satin look.

APPLICATIONS

• Stripping of MIG-MAG, TIG and MMA welding seams.

• Stainless steels and their alloys.

• The product is ready to use, without dilution.

• Surfaces must be clean before applying the product.

• Parts must not exceed 35°C and must not be exposed to direct sunlight.

• Apply evenly with an acid- resistant brush (see WS catalogue).

• The application time may vary depending on the type of steel, surface finish and welding process.

• TIG welding >20 minutes.
• MIG welding >40 minutes.
• MMA welding >90 minutes.  

• Rinse with water and ensure that no acid residues remain on the surface. Special attention should be given to cracks and hollow sections.
